Protective, cute and kakui! A very sporty guy who loves basketball, Kazuma’s not too fond of the academic stuff, and can be rather gruff when he’s not familiar with you, but don’t write him off too early! Once he falls in love with you, you can rest assured his love will never waver, and he’ll look after you like a knight in shining armour. ^_^ When he likes you his shyness is adorable, because he’ll be blushing all the time and calling you ‘baka’. ^.^ Tthe first guy we got. Kazuma has a perpetual plaster on his face, which he doesn’t seem to ever be removed, or maybe he changes it at night (imagine if he doesn’t!! yuck!). Perhaps he hides a dangerous deformity, a cool scar even, like Squall Leonhart or Himura Kenshin? Is he actually a samurai in disguise? Not the guy for you if you have a thing against an everlasting plaster supply next to your marriage bed.

What You Should Do
Meet Kazuma either by increasing your sports stat or joining basketball. If you chose the former, you’ll meet him at school where he accidentally hits you with the ball. -_-;; don’t worry Kazzie, we forgive you! ^^ If you chose to join the basketball club, he’ll forget his towel and borrow yours.
Join the basketball club so you can improve your relationship with him when you do well in the comps and stuff.
Increase your sports parameter if you want him to pay you compliments after a hard week of training.
Win all the basketball games against the other schools if you want to win his favour. Heck, win the inter final if you want to go that far. Just train a lot more before the tournament in third year, and acing it shouldn’t be much of a problem. Check out clubs for more info.
Date him often because unlike StoneKei™, Kazuma is like an attention-starved baby chocobo and waiting for him to ask you out on a date can take him a long time, especially if your sports parameter isn’t high enough. It also gives you more chances to increase his stats with you when you answer questions correctly.

Always offer to walk home with him even if he’s at neutral or below. This will help boost your stat with him, and if you’re feeling confident enough, you can choose to chat with him at a café by choosing the third option. Press R1 to change what you call him if the need arises.

To hear his (sort of) confession, always, ALWAYS choose to extend the date when he asks, and then you get to choose one out of three conversation topics to talk to him about (note: it may be good to avoid the one about school). Try to complete all these topics as soon as new ones come out, and when you reach the one about “love”, he will mishear what you say, then start to blush when he realizes you’re talking about love relationships. On the next date, he should be ready to confess… although how much you can make of his “confession” is beyond me. Sporty and loud places are a good choice. Kazuma’s a fun-loving athletic guy, and a few of his favourite places are e the bowling alley, table tennis,Live House, the heated pool, the skating rink, Habataki Fireworks, the amusement park and so on.
If he likes you enough, he might just agree to go somewhere he usually doesn’t go (like the park, museum etc etc), but his relationship status will drop slightly. Have Kazuma defend you on your date to DDR, where a random blond dude bumps into you, and Kazzie, being all protective, demands the guy to apologize (he’s waving a menacing fist! ^^) And you so cleverly say that he can’t fight or he’ll get kicked out of the basketball team... (protagonist = airhead) So realisation dawns on the other party, and Kazzie gets punched. Although you don’t actually see him being beaten up, that is. He just looks pissed. Have Kazuma share his childhood dream with you at the aquarium, where he goes on about America and how he believes he can become a professional player there. Watch Kazuma make a great pass to another player, thus winning the game. Not very much to say here, except for the fact that Kazuma’s opponent looks like a grown up Hibiya in need of some Demerol. But if you look at it from some points of view *rotates artbook picture* it rather looks like Kazuma and his opponent are doing some sort of weird samba dance. That is, if samba dances involved sweat flying, funny basketball shorts, and aggressive expressions on their faces. *points* go see for yourself. Star in a play with him where he seems to be wearing a strange suit with a cape (don't forget the clogs!). Not really a romantic play of sorts, unlike Kei’s and Madoka’s.
